Invitation to Tender – RIBA Stage 4 & 5 Services
Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery is delighted to announce the next phase of our ambitious heritage project: the repair and restoration of the magnificent Grade I listed Northumberland Hall in Alnwick, Northumberland.
Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Borderlands Place Programme, and other valued partners, we are now seeking experienced, highly organised specialists to join our design team for RIBA Stage 4 and 5.
Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery are delighted to invite tenders from professionals in the following disciplines: Access, Archaeology, Acoustics, Building Control, Exhibition Design & Interpretation, Fire & Smoke, Rectified Photography, Scaffold design.

- Location: Northumberland Hall, Alnwick, Northumberland
- Shortlisting: 21st–22nd December 2025
- Interviews: 6th–8th January 2026 (in person in Alnwick or via Microsoft Teams)
- Interviews: Exhibition and Interpretation Design and Fit out only Thursday 15th January 2026 in person in Alnwick.
- Appointments Commence: Monday 19th January 2026 (latest)
Site Visits: By appointment on request only with Amanda Gerry at ajgerry@icloud.com (Exhibition and Interpretation Design and Fit out only) to be held on Tuesday 9th December 2025ff rom 12.30 - 4.00pm.
Successful appointees will work collaboratively within the RIBA Stage 4 programme, providing written reports to support the work of the Design Team and Principal Contractor. All appointments are subject to approval by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
