Walks on the Northumberland Coast’ is one of a series of five walking guides to Northumberland written and published by David Haffey, a local author who has lived and worked in the county for the last 40 years.
This 64 page book describes ten circular walks that offer you the opportunity to explore and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the the Northumberland Coast. The routes vary in length from about 3 to 6 miles and most can be completed with relative ease in about half a day or less. To help you choose your walk, the Introduction includes a map and contents page showing the location of each walk together with details of its length, in terms of both distance and time.
The 4 to 6 page description of each walk then includes:
- a written route description that explains all of the twist and turns of the walk to ensure that you find your way easily;
- a specially prepared and easy-to-follow colour map that includes lots of detail to help with navigation and is cross referenced to the written route description;
