The Reverent Herbert Butler Cowl volunteered at the outbreak of war and followed the Durham Light Infantry (DLI) out to meet the horrors of the Western Front. Whilst serving he was severely wounded and was then in the hospitl ship Anglia when she hita mine. as a result of his actions Herbert became one of the first chaplains ever to be awarded the Military Cross.
Twenty years later and the horrors begin all over for Herbert, as a chaplain in the Blitz. You wil be heart-warmed and engaged by this story of a truly great, yet humble man.
