This is Alnwick is a vibrant new project that connects our communities through shared heritage and personal stories.

Leading to our relocation to Northumberland Hall, Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery is embarking on a programme of activities to gather stories about the people who make Alnwick and District. We want more of our residents to be actively engaged in Alnwick’s heritage and the shaping of its future.

Bailiffgate’s vision is to place heritage at the heart of the community by collecting, interpreting and celebrating the rural history, culture, voices and traditions of the town.

Through a programme of activities, events, participation and workshops, we will build a museum for the people of Alnwick. This Is Alnwick will create opportunities for local people to engage in a volunteering and employability programme offered through the museum and our partners.

Our relocation will put us at the heart of the town. We want to celebrate that strategic position by being a useful space for the people of Alnwick today whilst respecting its past.
