It snowed!
Yes we really did have a fall of snow at the December Museum Tots. Ok it was of the cotton wool variety but it made a magical end to the last Tots of 2018! The children collected the snow after following Santa’s footsteps to the transformed Edwardian schoolroom and joined in singing some Christmassy songs. They then came back upstairs to play with some more snow ( shaving foam ).Our Museum Tots is a unique way to introduce pre-school children to a visit to a museum. We engage children and their carers through play, songs, activities and stories introducing the past through treasure trails through the museum. Of course this only happens when the museum is closed on the 2nd Monday of every month during term time between 9.30-11am ( allowing adults to drop off older siblings at big school). We provide a healthy snack, milk or water all for £2 per child aged 12 months to starting school. January Tots we made banners and played with the castle and knights in armour. February Tots is all about trains and we are looking forward to further sessions of playing in the sand (holidays and fishing)or even making butter (farming).Watch out for more details on our webpage or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
