Become a Friend of Bailiffgate Museum
A Friends' membership entitles you and a guest to visit the Museum free of charge, when you like and as often as you like for a whole 12 months.
As a Friend you will be supporting the museum. As a Friend you will also be invited to all our exhibition opening nights and any additional Friends social or fundraising events we organise.
Joining us is easy. You can either become a Friend online or you can download our standing order form and post or drop that in to us. If you are a UK Tax Payer we would be very grateful if you could also please complete a Gift Aid Declaration and send us that, as it allows us to receive more income at no cost to yourself.
Welcome Friend! (Below Our 2015 Outing to Brizlee Tower)
2016 Friends Activities have so far included:
- Exclusive Previews of all new exhibitions
- An event to launch our book "Telling the Story of Alnwick and District
- A concert by the Bailiffgate Singers
- A trip with special access for Friends to Ratcheugh Observatory
Friends fundraising events are organised and run by our Community Fundraising Committee. These events are advertised on our website and in local venues. Our preview evenings are by invitation through email or our quarterly newsletter and are convivial affairs where you can meet the artist, the writer, the photographer or whoever is exhibiting. Come and meet the amazing people behind the scenes at our museum.
Our Committee is always happy to welcome anyone who would like to join us. Our purpose is to support and help develop our museum both socially and through our fundraising efforts. We have a programme of fund raising initiatives – supermarket bag packs, raffles, organising craft fairs and much more. The monies raised go towards buying items for which the museum does not have a budget. Some of our recent purchases include a till system and a picture hanging system for our upstairs gallery. From a till to a new kettle, there will always be something we can help with.
