Talk : “Viking Families”: Sarah Taylor of the JORVIK Viking Centre
Viking families were just like us, or were they? Introducing the new Bailiffgate summer exhibition, The Vikings: Fact and Fiction. Sarah Taylor will discuss some of the themes brought out in this major collaboration describing a fascinating period of history and its people, brought to you by the team behind the world-famous JORVIK Viking Centre
Sarah Taylor is the Exhibitions Manager for the JORVIK Group. She has worked in the museum sector for five years after gaining a degree in History from Newcastle University. In her current role she works closely with her colleagues across York Archaeological Trust to develop and deliver exhibitions that allow the public to engage with history in an entertaining and meaningful way.

All evening meetings are on the FIRST TUESDAY of the month. They begin at 7.15pm with refreshments in Bailiffgate Museum, Alnwick. (speaker begins at 7.30pm). Programme of Speakers
Entry is free to members of the Northumberland and Durham Family History Society www.ndfhs.org.uk .
Non-members are always welcome to attend and there is no fixed charge. They will, however be invited to make a donation of £2.50 towards refreshments and room hire costs .
