On the whole lockdown has not affected me too much. Living in this beautiful county inspires me no matter what happens. However, I did try some new mediums and styles but neither worked and I stopped painting. I felt quite low for a while but, eventually, I went back to my “comfort zone” and I started painting Northumberland coast and country plus a few animal portraits. The morning and evening skies have been amazing and so inspiring. I still don’t produce many paintings but I feel much happier and can lose myself using my preferred medium oil on canvas.
