Lockdown brought many changes to my life – no more socialising was a huge loss. The garden, painting and walks took over. The spare room is no longer “spare” – it’s a tip but I have room to work and have concentrated on the things I love to paint – flowers, trees and the wonderful Northumberland skyline. I have had time to experiment and try again to capture their moods, and these paintings reflect what I love.
