From the mid 1800s, Northumberland was well-serviced by a number of rail lines, provided by local and regional companies. Supporting the Museum’s permanent exhibition which includes a model of Whittingham Station, we have a variety of books, including ‘The Amble Branch’ by Bartle Rippon and a DVD - ‘The Railway Story’ (the story of North East Railways)
In addition, we stock a number of British Railway prints and mugs in the ‘See England by Train’ series, also featured in our permanent exhibition.
Also new this year we’re stocking prints and cards by Lee Kershaw, ‘Northumbrian Images’, which include some attractive images of trains, and an excellent railway DVD.
