Hands–On Activity at Bailiffgate
Adult learners and community groups are very welcome at the Museum as well as younger visitors. Our popular memory boxes can also be booked by any group or organisation. The boxes can be used to enhance a visit to the Museum or can be taken away to be used in schools to supplement curricular learning, in youth groups to learn about the past, in conjunction with talks at local history groups or in reminiscence sessions with older people.
Each box contains a variety of original and replica artefacts relating to a particular theme. An education and reminiscence pack is also available giving ideas for use of the objects.
Talks and town walks can also be arranged. Please use the form below to highlight your interests.
Object handling sessions on a variety of topics can also take place as part of a Museum visit by either school parties or small/family groups. These sessions have a small fee of £10 in addition to entrance charges.
