Alnwick  Branch Meeting of the Northumberland and Durham Family History Society  -Open to All  Tue May 1st 7.15 for 7.30pm

The numbers of people taking a DNA test to help identify their relatives is mushrooming.

This in itself means that the findings are more and more likely to yield results, but is the expense worth it? Branch chairman Dudley George highlights the issues, using findings from his own test as examples.

Members of the NDFHS, including its Alnwick branch enjoy a range of benefits to help them discover more about their ancestors and hence who they "really are". This includes access to a wide range of excellent speakers on Family History-related  issues and events

All evening meetings are on the FIRST TUESDAY of the month. They begin at 7.15pm with refreshments in Bailiffgate Museum, Alnwick. (speaker begins at 7.30pm).  Programme of Speakers

Entry is free to members of the Northumberland and Durham Family History Society www.ndfhs.org.uk . Non-members  are always welcome to attend and there is no fixed charge. They will, however  be invited to make a donation of £2.50 towards refreshments and room hire costs .
