Harry Potter Family Fun, Thu 1 June

Family Fun activity days  are specifically designed for families to play and learn together.

They allow children and their parents/ carers to explore the history, geography and people of North Northumberland in a fun way through games, stories, songs and/ or activities.

June 1st 2017 is a special Harry Potter themed day. There will be Craft activities,  all Potter-themed. Readings of parts of the books will take place on the hour, starting at eleven. Also witchy stories aimed at younger children.

Suitable for children of all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult. (no more than 3 children per adult) .

What we do

Activity is often themed around the contents of our Bailiffgate Museum memory boxes. Recent examples include ‘Meet the Tudors’ and ‘A Day at the Seaside’. Sometimes the programme features that particular holiday period – Easter traditions, Christmas etc. On other occasions the theme may coincide with an exhibition running at that time in the Museum; helping to make that exhibition more accessible and more memorable for all the family. The museum has also run activities that complement the local library’s summer reading challenge.

How much does it cost?

Normal admission charges apply, i.e. all children under 5 enjoy free entry, 5-16's are £1,

(Please pay on the door. Although pre-booking is not essential it does help us plan resources as heavy demand is anticipated, so is appreciated)

Join our Friends for £15 per year and you and a guest can come for FREE as often as you like.

(Standard adult entry is £4 per occasion,  although by joining the Friends of Bailiffgate Museum you can gain unlimited free entry for 2 adults for one year.

The activities themselves are also free of charge, although a donation towards materials is most welcome. On some occasions interest exceeds our maximum allowed number of participants, so pre-booking is recommended.
